Branding has come a long way. Today, we as designers can be quick to assign meaning to such simple shapes and colors. In a way, it is our wizardry that can create a lasting memory that simply did not exist before our designs are published and linked to a company, organization or brand. My latest work revolved around a company that wanted to use a bee in their logo. They suggested I search "bee" and "Napoleon."
What a rich history!
"Due to its industrious habits the bee has come to symbolise hard work, diligence, industriousness and orderliness. Because it is also the producer of honey, the bee also symbolises sweetness and benevolence."
Thanks to my client, Chris Mather and WebVest Advisors, my knowledge has been enriched and I will never think of a bee in negative terms again!
